ADU 4U?
First Official HUD Manufactured ADU Installed in San Diego
THE LEUCADIAN: 12x36, 432sf, 1bd/1bth Silvercrest HUD Manufactured ADU
We're receiving several requests for examples of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) aka BACKYARD HOMES.
We will be featuring ongoing videos, photos and virtual tours of our projects for AR members who are interested in this fast moving business. Also should anyone have any questions, information or contributions please don't hesitate to share them on this or any other posts past, present and future.
You can also post them to our ADU 4U? Group link as well. There's a plethora of knowledge and information out there on every aspect of this budding cottage industry (pun intended) quickly becoming a major growth industry. So please don't hesitate to share.
One huge question and issue is financing. A lot of folks aren't aware of the financing now available for HUD Manufactured ADU's and we're not lenders. So if anyone in AR land has any contributions on this subject by all means feel free to share.
Another issue is in the appraisal process. Many appraisers are not yet aware of the new Fannie Mae guidelines for HUD Manufactured Homes or ADU's. So we would love to receive any information on this very important subject as well.

Nice looking ADU. Thanks for sharing. When we were going to build a backyard ADU for mom and dad, the only way to legally make it happen, was to call it a studio ( no cooking equipment) and it had to be built as a modular home. We live on acreage in the country.
