Best Parents & True American Patriots
A Son Could Ever Be Blessed With
I will love you forever Dad
and I miss you dearly
My Dad was my hero of all time. He served proudly in the Navy during WWI as a Chief Radio Gunman in the turret of a B-25 bomber. He was shot down twice but was rescued and lived to raise five children. Sadly we lost him on July 3, 1999. But his memory and love of life, liberty and America lives on in the souls of all who knew and loved him.
His nickname was Buzz and interestingly he worked on the first Saturn 5 Moon Launch & Landing and had the privilege of addressing Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong on a first name basis.
He was fortunate to have been at Cape Canaveral for the launching of Saturn 5 on July 16, 1969 and at the Houston Space Station for the splash down on July 20, 1969.
He was the greatest Father and role model a son could ever ask for and I will always love, cherish miss him dearly. Hardly a day goes by that he's not in my heart,
thoughts and prayers.
My family has been very blessed to still have my loving and dear 95 year young Mother as part of our lives and pray that she will have many more years to spend time beating the pants off her 4 children, 11 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren on just about any board game you can name.
My Father's Birthday was May 29th, their anniversary was on May 30th and my Mother's Birthday is on May 31st which actually landed on Memorial Day the day she was born.
It fills my heart with joy and pride to say that my Mother as well worked on the first Moon Landing along with my Dad. Together they packed their lunch buckets and thermous' each and every day for almost a decade and drove off with pride and dignity in their hearts knowing that they were going to be part of history. Not enough can be said about the love and dedication they had for God, family & Country.
She also served as a Pharmacist Mate in the United States Coast Guard during WWII and cared for many young wounded soldiers during most of her tour. Life was often an extreme challenge for my folks having lost one of their sons early in life. But my folks are true believers and hold God close to their hearts and not a day goes by that my Mom doesn't thank him for all the wonderful blessings she holds so dear
May we always honor
and never forget
those who so courageously and proudly
gave of themselves so that we can continue
being part of this Great Nation
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
